There's a Method to My Chaos
April 11, 2009
Today we decided to do Easter. The kids hunted for their Easter Bags, decorated Easter Eggs and had an Egg Hunt. They all had waaaay too much candy this year, but 95% of it was gone before the end of the day. At least the 4 youngest's candy was 95% gone. The older three have learned to make it last longer.
Neighbor kids were kind of jealous, but I hate mixing Church with Easter. It's so difficult to keep them from gunking up their good clothes.
So tomorrow is Sunday and the kids, I believe, will be doing an Easter program. It might be later in the month since I know it's about recycling and keeping the planet clean.
Today I am 13 days away from surgery. I'm on a liquid diet for it and it's been easy, yet difficult. I can manage on it, but it's one of those times where it land around a holiday. Granted too much candy is never a good thing, but I will miss the holiday dinner, but this just helps me prepare for what the future holds, I guess. Well, for the next few months at least. But being a pessimist, I am constantly waiting for someone to tell me this isn't real and won't actually happen. But until that happens I am doing what I am supposed to be doing.
Yesterday we helped celebrate my neice's birthday up in Frankenmuth at the Bavarian Inn with a chicken dinner. I had the soup. The kids really do enjoy getting together and I got some good pictures in.
