So we were outside putting up Halloween decorations when Hollyn from the Flint Journal stopped in front of our house and asked if she could take pictures for the mlive.com site aka Flint Journal's "Picture of the Day".

And this is the picture that made it in. I'm just glad it wasn't me. :)

When she first pulled up, however, we were actually cleaning up and getting ready to head inside. But she asked to take pictures because we were the only ones she found who were decorating for Halloween and that was her "assignment". So we obliged and I just pretended to busy myself and the kids finished up their pumpkin carving and started setting them out.
We've raked leaves into long piles to look like graves and have been making headstones out of cardboard and foil, and it's looking rather well. I also took black felt which I got 4/$1.00 and cut out bats and spiders and have hung them in the cove too. We used cheese cloth which we've ripped holes in and hung it around the cove as well and hung on the light fixtures. We also got that spider web material and put it on the bushes.
I think in total I spent $15 on decorations and $20 for the pumpkins. Not too bad.
